In his 18 years as a civil trial lawyer, Mr. Dinsmore has represented hundreds of clients in a vast array of cases, obtaining verdicts and settlements on their behalf in excess of 15 million dollars. Until the formation of Dinsmore & Sandelmann in 2008, Mr. Dinsmore was a sole practitioner representing individual consumers and smaller businesses against large corporations and insurance companies staffed by law firms often employing hundreds of lawyers. Mr. Dinsmore graduated with honors (cum laude) from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1990 and after gaining broad civil litigation experience as an associate for 4 years with Black & Reape, began his own practice, the Law Office of Scott D. Dinsmore, where he continued as a civil trial lawyer until the formation of Dinsmore & Sandelmann LLP in 2008. Mr. Dinsmore has broad trial experience, including numerous jury trials, court trials, arbitrations, and prosecuting and defending cases through the California Court of Appeals.
Mr. Dinsmore’s practice serious personal injury and property damage [auto, pedestrian, motorcycle, dangerous condition of property, government claims and assault/battery], breach of contract and other business disputes, debt collection, real estate litigation, employment disputes including wrongful termination and sexual harassment, landlord/tenant disputes, civil rights violations, insurance coverage, and fraud. Mr. Dinsmore also handles various transactional matters including drafting contracts and advising businesses regarding employment and other matters.
